At the start of 2025, I was approached by a mathematics competition start-up, Archimedes Awards, to design their brand. I created a complete visual identity for them, including a primary logo, lettermark, emblem, favicon, colour palette and brand pattern. 

The inspiration behind the brand is the mathematician, Archimedes, who Archimedes Awards wanted reflected in the brand design. To do this, I designed the primary ‘A’ to include the symbol for pi (as Archimedes was the first to calculate the value of pi), as well as a little crown above the word ‘Archimedes’, as a nod to his theory of displacement.
